About

Hey there! I’m Luna.

And if we met in real life, you’d probably find me with a matcha latte in one hand, a pen in the other, and a slightly chaotic stack of notebooks balancing on my knee.

I am the founder of Rise Within Journal, and I am so incredibly happy you are here.

If you have ever felt like you are “waiting for permission” to start living your actual life, or if you feel like you’re doing everything “right” on paper but still feel disconnected inside… this space was created specifically for you.

The Story Behind the Journal

Let’s rewind a few years.

On the outside, I looked like I had it all together. I was the “reliable one.” The high achiever. The one who always had a plan. But internally? I was running on fumes.

I was paralyzed by perfectionism. I thought confidence was something you earned by being the loudest person in the room or by having a flawless Instagram feed. I spent my days overthinking every conversation and my nights making to-do lists that only made me feel more behind.

I kept waiting for the day I would finally feel ready.

  • Once I get that promotion…
  • Once I lose 5 pounds…
  • Once I have the perfect morning routine…

Spoiler alert: That day never came.

The turning point wasn’t a luxury retreat in Bali or a winning lottery ticket. It happened on a random Tuesday, sitting on my bedroom floor, when I opened a blank notebook and finally stopped performative journaling (“I am so grateful for my coffee!”) and started real journaling (“Why am I so afraid to speak up in meetings?”).

That daily ritual—asking myself hard questions and answering honestly—began to rebuild the trust I had lost in myself.

What I Believe (And What This Blog Stands For)

I realized that confidence isn’t a personality type. It’s a skill. And like any skill, it’s built through practice—specifically, the practice of keeping promises to yourself.

Rise Within Journal is my rebellion against the “fake it ’til you make it” culture.

  • I believe that true confidence is quiet. It’s the ability to trust your own gut over the noise of the world.
  • I believe in “shadow work” just as much as gratitude lists. You can’t heal what you refuse to look at.
  • I believe that a 10-minute morning habit is more powerful than a once-a-year overhaul.
  • I don’t believe in toxic positivity. We don’t suppress bad days here; we process them.

A Few Fun Facts (The Non-Deep Stuff)

Because I’m not just a self-improvement robot, here is the real human behind the screen:

  1. My Coffee Order: Actually, it’s an Iced Oat Milk Matcha. Always.
  2. Comfort Show: Gilmore Girls. I have watched it start-to-finish more times than I care to admit.
  3. Introvert Status: I love deep conversations, but I need 3 business days to recover from a big party.
  4. Guilty Pleasure: Buying beautiful stationery that I am “saving for a special occasion” (and then never using).
  5. Current Read: I am usually juggling one personal development book (like Atomic Habits) and one cheesy romance novel for balance.

Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your journey. Remember: you don’t have to be perfect to be worthy of your own trust. You just have to show up.

Let’s rise,

Luna
